doc,ewaol-[config,distro]: Updates for post-release

This patch partially reverts f44f3a6c and also removes the bats_1.6.1.bb and
conntrack-tools_1.4.6.bbappend, since those fixes are now present in
meta-openembedded kirkstone branch.
